“We had a permanent on-site IT specialist; however, we found we still needed some external support for our expert and to cover during holidays. The tasks for the role were so varied that we found an on-site person could get bored easily and needed a lot of managing. We were not getting the benefits for the cost. Choosing to dispense with this role we felt we were entering a brave new world. Micropoint were very reassuring and we discussed all aspects that we need attending to. Our staff have coped very well and took on many of the menial aspects learning to be much more self-sufficient and cost-effective. We were under no pressure during the implementation to take on a support contract until everything was in, up and running as it should be.
